On the 13th of November, a think tank is hosted by Green Orange and their subsidiary WePublish. WePublish (formerly Online Publisher) publishes online publications. PDF documents (door-drops / folders) of retailers are published online in a way that they are accessible, readable and interactive. Producing each online variant needs adding links to every product so that the door-drops are clickable and gain traffic. Drawing lines around products within the door-drop and adding a link-URL is all manual work at this point in time. We want to automate this as much as possible.

This is where you as an ATLAS student come in! Green Orange and WePublish want to challenge you to build the second part of the automation process. When all bounding boxes have been drawn we need to recognize what the product within the bounding box is. There is information in text (OCR) or in the image (image recognition) to be found. We can use this information to match the bounding box and its content to information in the product feed to identify the product and the matching URL. This URL should be given back to our software so we can add this link URL automatically to the bounding box.
