Pi(e) day-

Whether you can cite 314 digits of pi, bake a pie with 314 ingredients, or eat 314 pies, you are very welcome to the Annual Pi(e) day!

On the 14th of March in the Foyer we will all come together to celebrate this irrationally beautiful day. The annual Pi(e) day will be celebrated in 3,14159265359… oops, two ways. Eating pie and citing pi. If you can make a wonderful, circular (or rectangular, but bonus points for circular pies), and prize winning pie you are more than welcome to bake an amazing pie for everyone to eat. The person who is able to absolutely blow us away with the most creative, tasty and best-executed pie will get his or her name on the Pie Trophy. However, if you are someone with a permanent ban from the kitchen because you accidentally put the pie for 3 hours and 14 minutes in the oven instead of 45 minutes, there is another opportunity for you to win a prize: Cite Pi! If you can cite the most digits of Pi you will get your name engraved on the Pi Trophy.

If you want to bake a pie, please get a “bakers” ticket. If you want to cite pi instead get a “3.14159” ticket. If you have are an amazing baker AND a huge nerd! Please get the “combo” ticket. People who just want to taste the pies and hear people citing hundreds of digits do not have to sign up.

1*. Baker: This is for the people who want to compete in the Pie competition

2: 3.14159: This is for the people who want to compete in the Pi competition

3*: Combo: This is for the people who want to compete in both compeitions

Please make sure you bring your pie 30 minutes before the event starts.
